          Wonderful Family Resort

I stayed at the Tropical Palms Resort with my family in June of 2003. I have two children, a 3 year old, and a 16 year old. This was the best place I have ever stayed. The grounds are beautiful, well kept and very clean. The pools are beautiful and sparkling clean. Both of my children met others in their age groups, and very much enjoyed their time there.

The cottages were clean, and the staff was friendly, and extremely helpful. I also had my parents with me, and they very much enjoyed sitting out on the porch in the morning and evening, where it was quiet and peaceful. I would recommend this hotel to any one, especially those with children. Also the breakfast that they offer is very inexpensive and was very good. Our Family of 5 was able to eat every day for under $20.00. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

          What a great place!!!

Tropical Palms was great! What a nice place to spend a vacation! We spent a week in one of the fun suite studio units, and loved it. It had plenty of room for our family of four, and would be fine for a larger family as well. It had fridge, stove, microwave, sink, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, cookware, and (bonus!) a dishwasher. The grounds were beautiful with a tropical resort feel to them. There was a swimming pool and a kids wading pool which were both nicely heated. The staff were super. The gentleman at the front desk even tracked down a little screwdriver from the workshop so my son could put batteries in a toy he had bought. Don't be cheap and go for some of the $29 motel rooms you see advertised. We drove past some of these places and they looked pretty bad. We ate or prepared all but two of our meals at our cabin, and that saved us at least the difference in the $59 (a bargain) per night we paid. The two meals that we ate out actually cost more than the groceries for the rest of the meals cost !! Tropical Palms is an easy 10 min from the Disney World parks, and has a grocery store and a Walgreens nearby. I highly recommend this place

Wonderful place for family to stay!

We rented a Fun Suite cottage at the Tropical Palms RV Resort. This is an affordable, clean and convenient location to stay. It is right next door to Old Town in Orlando, which has many shops and some amusement rides for the kids. The cottage was clean and had everything you needed. We rented a larger cottage with two beds and the sleeping loft. The kids will love the sleeping loft! Each cottage has a deck porch to sit on with picnic table and deck chairs. The pool is open 24 hours and also has a section for the kids. There is a nice store at the office where you register to pick up anything you may have forgotten. This is a great place to stay and we felt very fortunate to be lucky enough to find it with all the choices offered in the Orlando area. We were traveling as a family of four and this made it very affordable.

One night and I feel in love!

The four of us only stayed on night, but the cottege we stayed in was great. The people around us were nice and we even booked a 3 day weekend to stay coming soon to get a better stay of the place! It was greaT!

          Loved Tropical Palms !!!!

We first found Tropical Palms around 1997. What a find !! We had 4 children under the age of 7 and everyone loved it. There is a "Big Pool" and a "Kiddie Pool", the place has done extensive renovations and it is still a great place to stay. We rent the cottages and couldn't be happier. What a haven after a day at Disney. We would go to Disney one day, then let the kids rest the next at Tropical Palms by swimming, playing on the gym set and walking around the pond/lake. This made sure we didn't have grumpy kids!!!!Would recommend it to everyone of all ages.

          What a truly wonderful resort!!

My family stayed at the resort in November 2001. After going to Disney approx. 7 times in ten years we were thrilled to death to finally find this place. Everything about it was terrific, what a wonderful place to spend your week at Disney.

The best of all places to stay to see Disney

I have stayed there twice now and love every minute of it.

It is a wonderful place for children of all ages and also for just 2 adults or more.

It has everything going for it, and the people there are very helpful at all times. It is within walking distance of resturants food store and many other places of interest.

Also it is just off of I-4 which makes it very easy to find. Also it is very close to Disney.

You will not make a wrong decision if you choose this resort.

          Most reasonable accommodations in orlando

I have stayed at this resort at least 8 times in the last 4 years since I heard about it. My family who comes to visit me from Virginia every year have made this a spot yearly to stay at. The accommodations are so big, you can walk to Old Town, which is great for kids and adults. It is only minutes from Disney and other attractions. I won't stay anywhere else. Plus, I always end up meeting some really nice family and we usually connect with them while visiting. Very highly recommend this place to everyone. You will love this place. Very family oriented

          Wonderful RV camp sites

We rented an RV super site and stayed for a week. What a beautiful camp ground. I would recommend to anyone. We have since planned another trip. My children loved the amusement rides at Old Town and the Saturday night car show was unbelievable.

          Much better than a hotel!!!!!

The suites here are great! We had 6 people in our group. 3 children and 3 adults. There was plenty of room that no one was getting stepped on as in most hotels. There was the pool which was opened 24 hours a day. I do wish the kiddie pool would have been opened longer. But, still it was good they had the big pool opened. They have decks on each suite w/chairs and a picnic table. The kitchens are loaded so that you can fix sandwiches in your room so that you don't spend as much money going out to dinner. Also, there is a small amusement park with shopping close by. We had a great relaxing time. We plan to use them again.Great prices too!

Everything revolves around amusement parks of all types. Families continually come in for the weekends to enjoy them.
We found going early in the week was best to beat the crowds and if single rider you went to the front of the queues so wait time was very minimal.

We left the four Disney theme parks for the next time we …

So much fun staying here in a cottage for 12 nights. We won the cottage decorating contest and got special parking because Don decorated the jeep with lights. So good to see the girls! Girls and I got matching mickey tattoos on our ankles.
