The morning started with a trip to Starbucks . . . I drove this time, as there was a pretty good downpour!! BTW, we had water again!!
Our intentions were that we would say goodbye and hit the road, but when we got to Nick & Connie's, she had prepared a complete breakfast for us . . . so we stayed to enjoy it and visit a bit more.

... tonight is that we are tired as there really is nothing that sets it apart from the many other small towns in northern Michigan. Tomorrow we continue heading north until we can cut around the top of Lake Michigan. Today has been very boring, but things should pick up soon as we leave the interstates behind and get up close and personal with Michigan.
... campground we were treated to a visit by a Chocolate Lab who was taking a bath in the lake. The water was chilly but he didn't mind. We wish that Riley could have come on the road with us, and we talk about getting another dog. But we want to get a little more comfortable with traveling before we introduce another family member. And we need to make sure there is enough room in the camper for three of us!
... Inn at Gaylord has changed a bit over the years too. We were glad to crawl into our beds at 1am Michigan time!
pps. Did you know they dont sell beer in gas station convenience stores in Michigan? Since I refused to go to WalMart I had to treat myself to ice cream (which was Mom's first choice anyway...)

The sites are not as private as some places we stayed, they are large and thus offer some seclusion.
