... water flowing over it, sort of a fountain. It looked, in the fog, like it could be snow . . . but only for a moment. It was some kind of soap that they clean the sign and water with . . . sort of like in a giant bubble bath!! It had dissipated some when we left, but I did take a picture!

They want us to come back . . . and we want to come back . . . but Petersburg to Marquette is 480 miles--ONE WAY!!

... didn't get out of the way on time somewhere in Quebec last week... That sucked. But yeah, we've killed a lot of bugs lately and I'm sure there are many more to come. And I don't care ... in fact 'Go windshield!'

Almost Back In Milford

Our last campground stop before heading back to Milford to close on the house was just outside Grayling at Lake Margarethe State Forest Campground. One more beautiful campground on a lake that abutted Camp Grayling. It was very quiet and offered sites on the water that were appropriate for tent or trailers. Also several caches to get that are within walking distance to the campground.

Arrived at the MIdland airport (yes its changed a bit over the years) and picked up our rental car. The agent at Budget was very excited to give us this "beautiful VW Beetle". Beautiful might be pushing it but it is a fun car (once we figured out how to open the trunk...) I'll post pics on Thursday...

... at almost half the price of the State Parks ($13 per night versus $22-$27 per night). And to boot, we were the ONLY ones in the campground the three nights we stayed. The sites are not as private as some places we stayed, they are large and thus offer some seclusion. Although there is limited hiking or geo-caching from the campground itself, the Black Lake area, which is very large, did offer an assortment of caches, trails and options for ...
