A truly frightening elephant stampede
... the day we went to the Royal Botanical Gardens that lines the Mahaweli River. Our driver dropped us off at the front gate where we paid another steep entrance fee, and went inside. Elephants on the move
We saw the elephant orphanage and the herbal gardens on the way to kandy.
We also passed amma's university and the botanical gardens.
We did not go inside the university and the gardens.
last night we had dinner at pizza hut but the pizza huts in Sri lanka seres other food such as Spaghetti and rice.
It is time to pack the bags and move on.

Kandy
... really well, we had good comfy seats and the views over the luscious green landscape were pretty amazing. At one point there were loads of guys just hanging off the side of the train, some just clinging on to the windowsills. The guys hanging out the door behind us were delighted to pose for a picture! However after numerous stops in the middle of nowhere - some for over 40 mins - we were starting to get really impatient! We eventually got to Kandy 5 hours after leaving ...
