New Years Eve: We had a fairly chilled out day, had a swim in the 'Split' - there is no beach on Caye Caulker but there is a kind of pier between 2 parts of the island known as the 'split' where everyone goes to swim and hang out.

Afterwards, we headed up to our room and watched the first TV we had seen in days, not that I had missed it much. Before we went to sleep, I took a shower. The water smelled very strongly of sulpher. We had read that the local water was the worst in Belize and fully believe it. It was definitely not something you'd want to get in your mouth by the smell...

... to immigration again, to leave, Guatemala and the another immigration to enter Honduras! So needless to say our passports are getting a nice little collection of stamps! The first bus brought us to a town called San Pedro Sula in Honduras and from there, we connected with the bus going to La Ceiba, which is where we are now.
