Day 4 - Halong Bay en Hanoi

Day 5 - Hoi An
Shopping Overload!
We travelled to Hoi An via a flight to Da Nang. Hoi An is known for all of its tailors and shoe makers, and people flock here to get custom fit wardrobes. I don't really have much to write about this place because all we did was shop! Aunt Charlene got five work outfits custom fit for her and we both got a couple pair of shoes, I also got a dress …
Vietnam continues Part 2
18/08/2012.
Went down for breakfast at about 0740 hours and it was beautiful…again. We went for a walk to Ben Tanh market, about 6 blocks away, and walked around for quite a while. A man out the front of the motel sold us a pair of Prado Sunglasses for Sandra and a pair of Polaroid Rey ban's to Gordon, 500,000 dong (AU$25.00) …
Rain, rain and more rain!
From Hanoi we flew down to Da Nang and took a taxi to our hotel in Hoi An. Hoi An is a beautiful, traditional vietnamese town and is well known for it's tailoring. Unfortunately for us, the majority of our stay here, it rained torrentially for the majority of the time. I don't think I've ever experienced rain as heavy as this. Our lovely, plastic …

TravelPod Member ReviewsHoi An Trails Resort
Great for shopping. The resport was very nice although the first room we were shown was like a furnice. It overlooked the pool and was very noisy in the morning when the adults would get up for a swim. The resort was very clean and when we changed room to the Presidencial suite if was fantastic. The room was cool and had a seperate shower and toilet, away from the bathroom which was good for when Sandra wanted time on her own to soak in the bath.
