      ... back to blue hill resort, as there was no one on these beaches. Along the way we picked up a friend...named him Skippy the dog. We walked quite far, and he made sure that we were not far behind. Stopping for a swim a bit of late avo sun, skippy took a liking to me. Eventually he got a bit bored and wandered off.       ... are not the best way to stay sober. At midnight officially they should stop the party but luckily they didn't. The pool behind the bar has a nice diving board (approximately 3 meters high) many people, including myself a couple of times were jumping from there into the water, people were dancing and swimming in the sea, even a couple of boats which lay 20-30 meter from the beach were occupied by people from the party ;).       ... if you aren’t prepared mentally. IE having to flood your mask and put it back on and let the water out, or having your instructor turn off your air and simulate and emergency ascent. All these are required for a reason and after I became certified I can see why because I have run into a few issues with masks and regulators but calmly knew what to do and all was fine.       Koh Tao 3/5-7/5 Our dive school was close to the ferry and just on the edge of the main town. They put us up in a decent bungalow but the fan provided little in the way of cooling us. We were thrown straight into the course and had to do 5 hours of theory and questions not long after we had arrived.
