... elephants can head for a bathe and are washed 4x a day by the keepers. From the age of 1 each elephant has it's own keeper which stays with the elephant from 8am to 6pm, providing care, any medicines and feeding and bathing. Not much sleep, lots of barking from dogs fighting, loads of stray dogs here, huge cull needed!!... At one point I even thought I heard an Elephant roaring! Up at 6, showered and out for some breakfast,, bungalow right next to an Elephant Zoo!..... nowhere open for breakfast so made do with some toasties from 7/11.. I wake to sounds outside of the bungalow. Stepping out I am greeted by a large group of monkeys foraging what the ants have left behind. There remains a feast of termites left over after the rains two nights ago. As I step out of my small 10 x 10 bungalow I am interrupting their buffet. Grunts and looks follow.
