... Of the body of about 300 people at this church, give or take, there are a good amount of Africans that attend and about 10 more that showed up today. Apparently, I'm the only black person there that isn't from Africa, so when it came my turn, the introduction situation was quite comical for me and Phil. All in all, it's comforting to know that somewhere in the city, there is group of people I can worship with, and just get some general support and advice when I need it.
Got my visa a little while ago, ******** only gave me 6 months despite all my documentation saying I would be here for 1 year. So I will have to go through the circus again in 6 months.

Moving into the international student dorm, once we arrived, was a breeze thanks to the super friendly atmosphere and the other students who had been living there for a while. One of the girls from Ukraine offered to take us (and translate for us) to a restaurant nearby. While there, we quickly befriended the owner by exchanging some Chinese money ...

On Thursday the foreigner teachers and a couple of the TA's are going to Beijing. I'm returning to my favorite city in the world and I can't wait! We're going to be going to a bunch of places, led by a veteran teacher, myself and 1 TA. I'll be sure to right a post about ...
