All this was followed by secret santa, I was given an I LOVE BJ Tshirt, whoeverit was knows how much I love Beijing. The shopping district was full of little trinket shops selling little Chinese souveniers and even Candy floss! After a while we decided to get something to eat so we found an overpriced resturant (for Chinese prices) and ordered something blind off the menu as none of us could read Chinese. It tasted rank.

... though, and the trip took closer to 2 and a half hours. My Chinese contacts later told me that I was lucky it was only 2.5 hours- usually it's a minimum of 3 hours between the two cities! There's a high speed train that only takes 30 minutes, so I'll be sure to take that the next time I come here.
