... very well and he is still icing it regularly. We might try another golf game today to practice our chipping and pitching. Had a lesson on Wed so we are eager to try again. Mike is convinced he can beat the game intellectually. I figure it's all about the practice and getting the "feel" back for each of the shots.

the green fields continued for about twenty miles then quickly turned to barren dry cactus country...so long straight roads ahead with cactus everywhere. after about 15 miles we reached an area of sand dunes where loads of campers and RV ers were enjoying the dunes with boards and dune buggys .. it was quite strange as it was in the middle of nowhere with just a few small buildings ...
... the 20 minute walk from one terminal to the other was a very pleasant stretch of the legs. All the flights were jammed so we couldn't move up our departure. No worries, we checked our luggage one last time and headed for Starbucks.
We enjoyed coffee with real cream [something we'd only had once in three weeks] and a roast beef sandwich with lettuce on a crusty French roll. Really...what a treat. While every restaurant we visited ...
... we ran into each other - what's the odds? The whole place is about the size of Edmonton's Klondike Days exposition grounds and there were over 5000 people there. We met our old neighbors Gerry & Chris Couture as well as Bob & Bev Turlock.
