... and my managers totally supported my decision to go.
Other than my job, I have very few responsibilities holding me back: a loan on my car and my beautiful baby-son cat, Steven. Which, by the way, was the hardest part of my decision making. My Mom has graciously accepted to take my beautiful kitten into her home during my absence, thank God! (And thanks Mom!)

Again we just missed the trolley which would have dropped us off just outside our hotel – almost a block away. So we started across the car park and along came another trolley so back we came and caught the trolley bus which saved our aching feet and weighty goods.

... so we transported all our luggage down to the lobby and set up camp. It wasn't long before the lobby started tp fill up with other cruise passengers with the same idea. Noon came and we ordered our taxi. Remember when taxis used to be large sedans with cavernous trunks? Nowadays, they seem to be small cars, like a Prius, with limited trunk space. We were lucky to get a small minivan, with limited luggage space. The driver looked at ...

Once leaving Key Largo we passed through the Everglade area on our way to Miami. The 11 mile straight roadway and fences on both sides of the highway signified we were travelling through ‘gator country’. On the southern side of Miami, palm tree farms line the roadways but it doesn’t take long before the cityscape appears and we turn off to the Comfort Suites, our accommodation for the next few nights
... quite close to us and even drowns out the music on our noise cancelling earphones and so we head back to our cabin. We snooze for a while before waking and start to pack. We don't take as much care as we did back in Manchester and are soon both cursing as the clothes won't fit in. Once done we shower and dress for dinner.
