... a turtle, and all the regular reef fish:  parrot fish, squirrel fish, trumpet fish, sea cucumbers (minchia di mare!) and a couple of really nice starfish.  The coral heads were pretty big badly damaged and there were not so many fan corals but it was still quite beautiful and so close to the beach!  The water was very clear.  Visibility around ~60 feet and we swam out slight against the current so the return was easier.  We were probably out there for ...

Leaving the worst to last is the cost on board. I have hated the way that a tip is automatically added to everything you buy and then you are expected to add extra gratuities to that. We ask if the car will make it down Malcomb Beach Rd. Sadly, he says it's too bumpy ( maybe we'll check it out anyway). The driving was fine, round-a-bouts were fairly easy to navigate - just remember enter to the left, ...

... out and they graced us with their musical talents. After a full day in the sun and a long snorkel, it was really refreshing to have a group of people hanging out on Hejira again - seems like it's been a while since there has been a good hang session like the ones we had all summer (and fall) in Woods Hole.

Had we been going on our own today, we probably would have left around 0700 and made it all the way across the Caicos Bank ...
