... before moving on to my next Thanksgiving meal. This time it was in the apartment of Dylan and Andy, two of the guys I play 5-a-side with every week. Just like buses, you wait 21 years for a Thanksgiving dinner and then two come along at once! I managed to force a couple more plates down me before going home to sleep it off. A very satisfactory day.
The next morning I skipped school again (CEPE is rather lax on pretty much everything) and set off bright and early for the ...

Puerto Vallarta, Durango, Mexico exploravallarta... to the Explorations Café and a grande mocha! Mmmmmm, coffeeeeee! I cannot wait. It comes at a premium, but is faster than going back for the travel mug. And Michael is at the gym already? How does he do it?
Out on deck six, the lower promenade, my mobile phone searches for a signal as I try to revive myself with the extra hot concoction. It is a bright, beautiful day once again, the sun is already high, and so is the humidity. In the distance ...
Finally, the reward for living through all of the storm. A beautiful morning - and finally feeling better.
Got off the Ship briefly before we left (total of 20 minutes) to take a few pictures.
Back onboard by 1pm.
At 4pm Classic Disco T-dance (delayed due to our extended stay in PV).
... whole town had a laid back family atmosphere sort of like San Pancho but less hippy. One day we took a drive out to an area where there were petroglyphs (or pictographs? Which ever one is carved into stone!) Our directions were "it's out near Alta Vista". Those instructions were pretty broad so we ended up driving into the town of Alta Vista which is inland and half way up a mountain. The town was very pretty and obviously doesn't get many ...

punta de mita, Mexico smiley_kab... how wonderful it is for us to have Vallena and Sharon here in Lo de Marcos with us to enjoy La Casa de Los Ninos and Lo de Marcos. Vallena is teaching me about transfering pictures to my computer and writing in blogs and all that computer stuff that the kids know how to do. We need those young minds to keep us going. Vallena is having fun with the language and we are breaking her in slowly with vocabulary and ...
Sayulita, Mexico valipske... flow. I meet Abel from Los Angeles on the bus and go on the town with him the first night. we meet Ariel and Marisol in the plaza and go for some drinks. Ariel is on holidays from Texas and Marisol is a teacher from a nearby town. Both cute as you can see from the photos. Alejandra from Zacatecas comes down to Guanajuato to meet me and we explore the city. This place is gorgeous .Full of little streets and cafes. I go see the Monumento al Pípila ...
Puerto Vallarta + Guanajuato, Mexico alawlor... the windows. Two minutes by foot down the same street was the beach. The beach was really nice with a lot of seats and umbrellas lining the golden sanded shore. The waves crashed in, so we all spent a lot of time just standing in the waves and getting knocked under the water for about 3 seconds at a time. Seems like a pointless thing to do, but honestly watching each other get wasted by the waves was quite amusing - then getting thrown back onto ...
