First real venture out of Bangkok and a short flight to Phuket and then north for 45 mins onto the main land and to the town of Khao Lak.

The following morning we woke up had breakfast and made our way to the ferry. I woke up with a really dry throat and aching muscles but figured it was the AC and previous days of activities. I realized later that it wasn't the right muscles to be aching but more of a feeling of being hit by a bus and my ...

... for dinner. Fresh seafood was our choice and we meticulously chose 2 large lobsters from the ice to be BBQ'd and served with garlic and pepper sauce. Now don't get excited because it was a huge disappointment. Overcooked, dry and lacking in flavour! I suppose we chose the wrong restaurant, remember the name Mamas. Don't go there.

Late yesterday afternoon we headed into Patong Beach. We first visited 30 years ago ...
