Bali the Beautiful... John Stuart told us "Bali is the most beautiful place on the planet" and we are now believers... Our travel agent, Tommy Stephens at Goway Travel, recommended we take a chance on this new resort in Ubud called the Royal Pita Maha and in hindsight we can't thank him enough for convincing us! The next day we went for a walk along the rice paddies. It was a bit of a shame we got here in the rainy season and a lot of the rice had been harvested. The views in the dry season are supposed to be amazing here. Still was a nice walk.

... the road, then to Batabulan then to Ubud. So I set off on the trek. Got to Ubung then had to pay extra to leave Ubung because they usually need 2 people before they set off and it didn't look like we would get a 2nd person and I needed to get there.
