    ... was hard enough over the very uneven rocky path. (Not much in the way of a decent photo though!) Today we wandered through the ruins of Olympos...one of many sites that go by the name! It was fabulous, close to the beach and a stream...the ruins were scattered through thick forest and in many places overgrown. Cirali is a small coastal town, but it has it's fair share of pensions, hotels and cafes. Lots of families wandering about...a great place to relax for a few ...

    After leaving Egirdir (where travellers are few and far between), we arrived in Antalya, a large modern city on the Mediterranean.     ... and has a very relaxed atmosphere, plus great value! Here we have enjoyed a very relaxing time at the beach, searching the old ruins of Olympus, hiked some of the Lycian Way (550km hike which would be good to try some day) and also hiked to Chimaera where flames seep out of the earth - see the photos to believe it - they have a good legend also which I won't recount here.

    That's about it for now, we're off to Kaş ...

    Today Carne and I jumped on a tour (with 2 other kiwis and 2 Aussies from the ANZAC tour). Our first stop was the ancient ruins of Perge. The ruins cover a huge area, and is in its 60th year of restoration, all off the sculptures uncovered to date are on display at the Antalya museum.
