... goodbye to our old friends the Rankins and our new friends Norma and the legend that is “6 pancake and double cookie ration” Thomas. It was time to bid farewell to the proper horses with 4 legs, so we reloaded our man made (and I must admit more comfortable) versions, the ones with a much louder neigh. Farewell Rankins, but I hope like that the old Californian Governor “I’ll be back!”

... kids can’t go on their own.

On Tues the plan is to go to the zoo. We will want to start for home before it is too late but we will stay for the Lion House feeding. If you haven’t experienced it before it is really an amazing experience. At least I hope it is still going. I’ll blog about it if it is still going.

So we leave tomorrow afternoon. RV is nearly packed. We will pick the adults up tomorrow afternoon and head on up the road.
