... got to the little tiny creek 25 miles away. I laid there and talked a bit with some other hikers in the shade of a big tree. 10 feet away from us a rattlesnake slithered by into the bushes. We all just watched it go by. Its really cool to be around other people who can respect nature without being scared of it. It's crazy how close I'm getting to the high Sierra. 500 miles in!!!!! Song of the day. House of the rising sun- the ...

On our way from Yosemite to Lake Mead, we traveled south in California to avoid many of the mountain roads. We stopped for the day in Tehachapi and camped at the Brite Lake Regional Park Campground. It was an interesting little campground with a total of 3 campers at it the night that we were there.

Here are the pictures from our day of travel.

Arrived at the camp on the Sunday at around 6pm instead of going directly to the camp, we travelled to this communal area where the camp coordinator was based. We met up with the 4 other coaches here too. We were provided with a warm welcome and a BBQ- my 3rd in 3 days!!!
