      Monkey Island started as a pile of rocks in the 1960's. It started with the lighthouse and than 2 squirrel monkeys and 3 spider monkeys were added along with a hut. The first island monkeys lasted 12 years and were replaced by younger ones. Today there are 5 spider monkeys on the island. I asked the desk clerk at the RV park if there was anything we needed to watch out for while at this RV park especially with our dog.
