    ... decided they'd come to Branson with us for the afternoon and overnight. Such serendipity! We had ended up parked across from them in Minnesota (totally by accident) just last month!
    We enjoyed our time in Branson - used the indoor pool at Treasure Lake (outdoor pool closed Labor Day, despite the 90+ degree temps!), and we had a wonderful evening of entertainment ...

    ... large. After lunch we drove down the highway containing most of the tourist attractions but didn’t stop at any. In the historic part of down town Branson we rode the tourist trolley; and then strolled around, going into several stores but buying very little. We did not find any shows that interested us, that were performing today, so we had dinner back at the camper and watched TV.

    ... tour of the battlefield and surrounding area. Wilson’s Creek played a significant role in the Civil War as it was the first major battle west of the Mississippi River. We enjoyed our short stay here as it was another piece of the amazing yet disturbing puzzle that is the Civil War. Leaving Wilson’s Creek we headed south on US 65 and our next campground in Branson MO.
