We are now heading to Thekaddy- in the state of Kerala, more picturesque than the previous few days in the state of Tamil Nadu. Thekaddy is the home of one of the most important animal sanctuaries- the Periyer sanctuary, its said that elephants come to the lakes to feed and wash, which must be a site.

After a drive through picturesque landscapes of green hill, tea plantations and rice fields, we've arrived in Kumily, starting point and tourist centre for trips into the Periyar Wildlife sanctuary...also called the Tiger reserve.
