Well, after about 3 hours of sleep, we got up, showered, went down to the lobby to say goodbye to Eduardo before boarding the bus and going to the airport. The flight went off without a hitch and we made it from Quito to Houston on time. Customs, baggage claim and security took about 2 hours in Houston and then we grabbed a quick lunch before boarding the flight from Houston to Salt Lake City.

We then took the BAT for a drive along part of the old Central Pacific railroad track. Cliff wanted to go to Promontory Point to see the rail bridges which span the Great Salt Lake but the Rangers told us the road was not suitable for the BAT.

I find the hostel, it is located in a very posh residential area. The hostel is pretty reasonable and in a 6 bed dorm, there are only two of us in there. Another guy called Bernie was in town for a wedding.
