... too strong for my pathetic swimming or surfing prowess really. Surfing will have to wait til another day. I've managed the bitter blow of disappointment in the only way I know how - a couple of good lattes and a plateful of croissants. I must need all those empty calories to replenish the energy in my legs, right? And maybe a chance to do some stand up paddling later instead of the surfing. The next day we did a tour. We were picked up and joined by a lovely girl from Germany and drove to the first stop. Before even stepping out the car, the driver insisted Kieran must buy a sarong to wear at the Temples. Again, causing Nat to be in hysterics all day and Kieran wore a skirt. After the first temple we went to a hand-weaving mill, where they hand-make their traditional fabrics called Batik. It was amazing to see it done by hand on wooden ...

We awoke the next morning feeling significantly better and excited at the prospect of our new destination. It was sad to be leaving Indonesia after exactly 4 weeks of a mainly positive experience. There is definitely more to see, including the two biggest islands Java and Sumatra, so we’ll have to consider returning one day.

... minutes of me forgetting to breath, the other dive group was rescued. A little panicky, but safe n' sound. Now it was time to head to the second dive site. Yep - we weren't done diving. On the way, we were rewarded for the previous stress. Manta Rays! 3 of them. Excited to see them, we all threw on some fins and a mask and jumped in. Beautiful, HUMONGOUS, creatures.
