Friday - Relaxing day by the pool. The resort has free bikes on offer so road along the boardwalk up to the point. Weather is very hot. I can't believe my week is over and how busy I have been! I've spent the last 2 days surfing, yoga-ing, spa-ing, eating and a visit to the elephant sanctuary. The surfing has been my highlight of the week, I can't believe I can now get up on nearly every wave (no one's perfect! ) I can turn and I can dismount with control and without getting my hair wet, I promise this is an achievement, and I definitely have the surf bug. With a massive collection of flumes for you to choose from, we flung ourselves down almost all of them. The surfer mentality around here can get on my nerves real quick. This place tends to breed small minds when it comes to the local Caucasians. They walk around with a chip on their shoulder like they own the place which makes me wanna be like, "***** please, your roots ain't here. You're a transplant!" You go to ask them a question and they reply with one word answers. They're not the most engaging people I've come across. So I just give them a fake smile and then fantasize about ...
