One of our main reasons for coming to Ubud was to take a cooking class. There are several offered at different restaurants around the city, but this one was out of a family home, which sounded interesting. They picked us up at our hotel, and we drove straight to the home for an afternoon class, starting at 3:30pm. After introductions we were given herbal tea and shown how to make offering baskets, ...
... at a temple in Bali. So ladies if you ever go - remember to plan it around the week of your period or else you will be in a great place an unable to see any of its temples and beauty. This temple was the ticket to really getting me excited to see those surrounding Ubud as if it could be this detailed and beautiful in the middle of the main city I just had to see the ones on the outskirts. ... and he begins to scream, which apparently commenced shortly before we arrive. Munch carries him down to the water for a face rinse, and once the noise has subsided we bundle everyone up onto the “highway” - the bike-ridden part of the path from Villa Shanti north to the Blue Diamond.
We stop for lunch at Kami Sama – simple Indonesian food, and are yet again surprised to discover that Bali prices are ever-so-slowly creeping up to become more and more ...
