    ... Thai wine which was delicious and we met another English couple, Mark and Nina, who are just in Thailand for a 2 week holiday so are spending a couple of nights here. It was really refreshing to meet them and they joined us for dinner.     ... group of three Israeli girls, and a smattering of English people (one of whom was from Wendy's Granny's hometown of Brundall!!?? Small world doesn't even come close). We stop several times to get in to our canoe, and our pilot expertly steers us through the sea caves and into some hidden grottoes. They should be secret grottoes, but with half of Shanghai and us two, its difficult to imagine them as secret or hidden!

    ... in great spirits and a cracking way to celebrate your New Year in a hot country. Battleworn, drunk and drenched through we crawled back in at some point in the early hours and crashed out.

    I booked an overnight bus from Bangkok to Koh Lanta through NapPark, where I was picked up from my hostel at 4pm, taken by mini van to the bus station, guided to my coach, given drinks, snacks, a blankey and a pillow, free Thai meal halfway at a bizarre canteen type place, dropped off at Krabi bus station, taken by pick up truck to the Andaman Sea office (the company responsible for the aquatic leg of my trip), then picked up by another mini ...
