Lovely resort, rooms were luxurious, 2 minutes walk to the beach, swimming pool, wifi though only in the lobby, good food and Thai massage.

... we were still intrigued as to how Halloween would be observed in Thailand.

Having been living on Ko Lanta for over 1 month now, regularly eating fresh, healthy foods so readily available to us, we decided on Halloween we would indulge in a rare junk food day! In lieu of being able to hand out candy to trick-or-treaters back home (where we normally would have zero willpower and would snack all evening on the ...

... we headed to the town on the island where we had a lunch buffet. The buffer consisted of four Asian dishes and spaghetti bolognese. All the Asian dishes tasted the same - fish. It must be a weird life living on this sort of island. Catering to people that come and go every day. It's a beautiful place, but I wonder whether the people here long to go somewhere else. Our last stop was an island called Koh Khai. Here I caught my toe on the way out of the boat. The island was small, ...

Sadly rising ocean temperatures have led to much of the coral losing it's vibrancy. Seems everywhere we go it isn't hard to find evidence of our warming planet (8). We really love it here on Klong nin and are sad to have to pack up in the morning and once again make our ...

It wasn’t even the fact that his spiritual, intellectual and mythical charisma could have been contained within an ants toenail; it was more that this guy just repelled you from him, and this fact alone served as a contradiction to everything that we believed in, and the rest of our group clearly resonated with this fact, and were unfortunately stuck in the middle of nowhere place in North East Thailand, and stuck in this situation too. We were lucky to have a ...

... noise pollution and over-crowding. It's sad but everyone wants a piece of paradise and when too many do, things can turn to ****. I love the sense of adventure this book portrays, the nostalgic references to things like gameboys and the questions the book raises about over-tourism. More importantly this book taps strongly into my sense for adventure and exploration by searching for a true paradise. A classic lazy beach read which is best read on a beautiful Thai ...
