Crazy adventure! We hiked a mountain!!! It was wild. We hiked up 1,000ft goig up and down..and up and down. We went over creeks and rivers, climbed up steep parts and down steep parts, and walked along steep cliffs. We saw: Mountains, a lot of waterfalls, creeks, rivers, and at the end: a hot spring! Some parts were definitely tough and we worked as a team to get through them. It was an incredible experience! There were awesome views alomg the entire route...simply ...

It was difficult to pack up and leave Ridgway and Neetie & Matt. We'd had such a nice time with them and the place is just gorgeous. But, we had to keep moving forward. The famous Scenic Byway called the Million Dollar Highway, was calling our name and there was no better way to head towards Pagosa Springs. The 2-lane highway winds up and up and up and then down and down and down with sometimes no space between where the lane ends and the ...

This is in the running for my favorite stop. It's early, I know, but it was awesome. As we left the dunes, the views just improved. We went up to Wolf Creek Pass and passed through snow covered woods. We stopped at The Great Divide at 10,000 feet elevation and did a little ...

... to be very dog friendly from what I have read. I look forward to seeing it. Then I think we will stay in Amarillo on Saturday and get home on Sunday. Gotta be there to greet our favorite brother-in-law on Monday. Tom told people at church we would be home on Saturday, but I really don't want to drive 10-11 hours on Saturday. I will break it to him tomorrow evening. =)

    Love Everyone!

... with them. The pilot was a former commercial airline pilot who came back home to Pagosa Springs to raise his family. He was an outstanding balloon pilot and very informative about the area as we flew.

They were short crew members since both their balloons were up (they also have a big 12 person balloon that was being used that morning for a 1/2 hour ride) so we got to help ...
