    Day 9

Day 9- I keep having dreams about Angeli. I also can't help myself from waking up at 6:30 every morning even though we are allowed to sleep in much later. Today, we woke up and then headed over to Cabarete and the lazy dog cafe! Yay wifi! I talked to my friends and family and enjoyed the indoors for a bit. I went out on the sunny beach for just an hour before we all ate pizza for lunch! I've missed pizza so much, so I was extremely excited ...

    Day 8

... potentially die. And this isn't even an exaggeration! It wasn't also just because I was out of shape! Every single person besides the mentors (who completely downplayed this day to a little walk in the woods) was on the verge of death. I even took off my shirt so I was only in a sports bra. I'm not really the type of person to wear minimal clothing like that around people, but it was actually that hot. When we finally made it to the top and I collapsed on ...

Somebody told me honey comb was bee throwup after I tried it so I got pretty grossed out. The final stretch of cement came after the tour. I'm honestly so happy to be done with shoveling heavy cement into buckets in the 95 degree sun. Back at home base, we have lots of lizard friends. They all live in our room. I'm just kidding I hate ...

We're getting into the routine here. The teens have been magnificent. I've never done a service trip before, but I cannot imagine one going any better.

For those of you who may be over 17 allow me to explain the entry title. Salty means mad. It's how your skin gets when something ruffles your feathers. It's how you feel when someone leaves a taste in your mouth. If you'd like more info, please see seņor Braun, who has gained a full ...

Obedience might just be the point

... 3 am wake up call for a 6 am flight after very little sleep for two days. By the time we arrived at our first destination, I was exhausted, hot, had a screaming headache and was not feeling the best. In fact, I was feeling like I should be in freezing cold Ohio enjoying the day off and no doubt having a much better hair day as the humidity was not being my friend. Luckily, I was also remembering that we were here for a reason and I was excited to see what God had in store. And ...
