... We met 3 Thumbs at the summit, he got his name because of a farming accident, the clippings thrower on the back of a tractor caught his two fingers, smashing the tips flat (best I can describe......take a hammer and smash the last knuckle on two fingers about 4 times...ouch!), causing them to look like his thumbs. He is a really cool guy, we hiked with him for a good while, before he headed to the shelter, we are heading further and will talk with him ...

"Be careful, there's no fuel, no food, no cell service out there!" But let's rewind. Left home at 6.45 after Mauricio pulled a Mauricio ... We are at the border at 8, usual ...

We were so excited to visit Bristol again. Last year, we stayed with Joe & Mary, our sponsor contacts, who were some of the loveliest hosts we could have hoped for, we met Brad and Jim Tonner, two brothers who run TwinDesigns, a local gift shop, and who write/illustrate children's books, and we met 16 year old Josh, a boy who was born with an autoimmune disorder and had been homebound and ...

... they were a bit too sweet for our taste. We ended up purchasing a dry Riesling and a spice wine that we cannot wait to open during the holidays. We stopped in Liverpool, New York in search for a shower at what we thought was going to be a campground, but ended up being a nice park. We stayed an enjoyed the nice walk and pretended we had Bella there with us overlooking the lake and the yacht club.
    After not having ...
