          Day 3 Ocho Rios Jamaica

A travel blog entry by jennadoucette on Apr 22, 2014

Today was amazing. We woke up and went to the buffet for breakfast . After we met as a big group and left the boat for our first excursion which is Ochos Rios .(Dunns River Falls&Maragrita vile . At 10:00am our group left to go on the bus for Dunn river falls. When we got there it was insane how high it was, and the fact that we had to climb it was scary but really exciting ! We split into groups and went with ...

I conquered a bobsled. Not even kidding. I owned that thing. It was AWESOME! And the guy at the bottom watched me brake to a stop. I said "wow. that was so fast." He asked how I liked it. "it was awesome" I said. But my heart was beating pretty fast. Then he asked me where I was from and told me I was beautiful. Like I said. I owned that ...

          Not Really Doing Nothing....

          ... and actually doing nothing.

We ate at the Caribbean restaurant and my favorite quote of the trip is as follows:

Becky: "I don't eat meat, so can I just have the entree with potatoes and veggies?"
Server: "No meat? No problem - we have an excellent swordfish."
          Becky: "No, I'm a vegetarian."
          Server: *Stares blankly*
          Jaime: "No animals."
          Server: "Ohhhh, ok."

Definitely a foreign concept to this guy.

So as excited as I was to reach this destination, it turns out that the trip was going to end on a sour note. As the old adage goes, "do not drink the water", apparently did not resonate in my head. It turns out that the harmless little cup of refreshing, delicious, fruit juice that I had while I was in Cozumel, came back to haunt me.

I did however get to know my ship bathroom a lot more intimately. Not sure if it was the ...

... until I was comfortable that they knew what they were doing! I did not let on that the stingrays were and could actually swim by at any minute (which they did do later). We spent probably the next hour have a fantastic time seeing coral, fish and all sorts. When a baby stingray did swim by there was a little panic but we were in shallow water and I was somehow left holding two kids in my arms briefly :0). It was such a shame but if you go down to to swim ...
