... length of our building. Definitely a tropical paradise. Of course we have been waiting for this portion of our journey so that we could enjoy the spa facilities. After a few minutes of study we find a three day package...Basically both of us can get an hour spa treatment each day (total 6 hours of massages, mani/pedis etc) for less than $200. We are definitely in. First session in 90 minutes. Erin decided to go for a facial and I went for ...

After a lazy start to the day we went to reception and used the hot water (intended for tea) to use the rice pots we had hoped to eat on the night train. They weren't too bad for 20p! Nicole then uploaded a blog whilst I sat about.
After a bit more lazing about we headed out for lunch, we found a restaurant by the pier which seemed nice so we went there. We sat right by the sea for a bit of a breeze but this backfired a bit after I ordered Tom Yum ...

It was heavily biased on music and there were 6 rounds of Name the Artist (said in a very broad Estuary accent... it felt like being back in London). We didn't do particularly well on the music rounds, although we were each proud of a song which other people were puzzled over... Luke got Jerry Rafferty "Baker Street" and I got Richard Marx (ok maybe that is a little embarrassing). Anyway we did well in all the other rounds and came 5th over all, and ...

... with a curry breakfast. Bummer, we just bought one but our was yummier! - get on the long boat via wadding into the ocean with waves crashing at us - drive to monkey bay. Oh my goodness!!! I thought we were going to stop, get off the boat and feed the monkeys. Nope! Within a couple meters of approaching the beach (not even at a dock!) the monkeys run onto the front end of the boat and start ripping through peoples bags for the bananas! I give a little yelp because I ...

... boat looking at each individual person to see if they had food that it could steal. Not wanting to make any sudden movements to avoid ending up in the hospital for rabies shots, I sat there for a short agonizing period. The Macaques view from the side of the boat was not good enough, it proceeded to place it's hand on my shoulder for a couple of seconds. Probably the most exciting yet scary incident of my life. Tomorrow we make for Krabi, ...
