We figured we had to spend some time there and would try and explore some of the less touristy parts at a later date. The main attraction in "Jogja" is the palace that the sultan still lives in and it was walking ...

So after emotional goodbyes at the airport we proceeded to the Emirates check-in and joined the busy queue. Once we were finally at the desk the gentleman informed us we could not check in as we had no outgoing flight from Indonesia!! Panic!!! We scuttled around Heathrow Terminal 3 trying to find good internet connection. After frantically searching through sky scanner we found some cheap flights for 5 weeks time from ...

We woke very early so that we could plan our day ahead. We headed then out after breakfast looking for accommodation and tour operators. We asked lots of places, but they were so expensive because of the end of Ramadan celebrations. On the way back to the hotel we stumbled across a tour operator who was very helpful and cheap, it restored our hope! At the start of the day, we planned to do Merapi volcano and Borobudur. We came to a conclusion that Merapi was far too dangerous in our ...
