    ... a ship. Things like fire alarms and what to do in emergency etc. Our group is about 70 people and it has been great to get to know them in a smaller setting. We are known as the Pasir Gudang PST ( Pre-ship training ). We have also been given a ship " family" as well which you can read more about in our newsletter. Hope you enjoy the photos.

    ... an amazing place, so clean and everything they do is completed to perfection. Even the bridges to cross the road have manicured flower pots on. The gardens by the bay are another example - huge sculptures surrounded by lush tropical gardens.

    Lastly we went on a trip down memory lane and visited Steves old house and shopping area. I have heard so much about it so it was great to see it. ...

    ... speak English so there is no language barrier. It feels a little like London, but if London were cleaner, less crowded and much safer!

    One of the first things I wanted to do was to visit the zoo... Its apparently the best zoo in Asia (#5 in the world according to TripAdvisor, one ahead of Chester zoo) - looking online I found there was a ticket bundle deal to include the zoo, a river safari and a night safari next door along with a bird park... To ...

    ... their guns were pointed the wrong way in a Japanese attack on Singapore in WWII.

    Then I went for some Indian businessman lunch on a silver divided tray. Had no idea what to order, so I just said vegetarian. Also, had no idea how to eat it.

    From there, I went up into the treetop canopy at Kent Ridge Park, also really peaceful and it was completely deserted on a Monday afternoon.

    ... Singapore adventure. Singapore: The main highlight for me was, the Gardens By The Bay, a truly incredible green space with two massive dome glasshouses, one with a huge indoor waterfall and rain forest plants and trees and the other full of plants and trees from all over the world arranged into "gardens." The weirdest and most incredible part about the gardens were the giant flower shaped pillars that held up the sky walk about the rest of the gardens, they were totally bizarre ...
