Dear Bev,

I made the long journey home and it's back to normality. Well, what used to be normal. Don't get me wrong, I missed my family (and my pups) immensely, but I miss so much of the traveling and the people. It was a freedom that I can't really put into words. There were only a few instances when I was completely by myself (mainly on my motorcycle) and it was extremely freeing. If anyone reading this is on the fence about doing anything like this, I ...

... to leave our packs at the ranger station. We headed back into P.A., back to the diner, then to the bake shop, then to the Trolley station to relax :) We eventually left town around 3pm. Crossed back over into N.J., and 5 hours later......we made it back to mile 1.3 for the day, so far! Hanging around the visitor center with the rangers, great people! We finally said our good byes around 5, and finally started to really hike. Out across the road.....pass a ton of ...
