Stopped for lunch at a Rt 84 Country store high on a hill. Saw some unique items. Lake Wallenpaupack is close by but no time for tubing!! LJ
I played packman for free and saw a cool 8N tractor and a huge teepee. RJ
There was plenty of interesting things to examine, making it a well worthwhile visit for lunch. PJ Onward to New York ...

Jack had a nice break away from his camp for the day, before we knew it the day was over. We had dinner in a typical American diner which looked like a big silver caravan on the side of the freeway, great food. First time driving in the USA - Russ got us safely from Jersey City to Milford Pensylvania. Caught a yellow cab from Manhatten across the Hudson River, or rather under the Hudson River to our car rental place - Alamo. Our rental is massive, I'm not keen on driving it, Russ loves it - a man thing, he's already had his nose under the bonnet. A truckie is staying at the same place as us, ...

... to leave our packs at the ranger station. We headed back into P.A., back to the diner, then to the bake shop, then to the Trolley station to relax :) We eventually left town around 3pm. Crossed back over into N.J., and 5 hours later......we made it back to mile 1.3 for the day, so far! Hanging around the visitor center with the rangers, great people! ... we saw some wonderful sights and I enjoyed learning more about Brazil's history. The games were, of course, incredible and the fan excitement and enthusiasm is truly catching. But the best part for me was the time I got to spend with 3 of my children as young adults. They were fun, they were good sports, we all got along and I felt like the luckiest person in the world to have this experience with them. Thanks kids...... Now, who's up for Russia in 2018??
