      ... And we had rain just like before in New York. We cooked up salmon, rib eye, corn and pasta with provisions picked up in Erie, PA, and then had big family hugs and a big cry from Amy (who would turn right around and drive back west if given the chance) as we talked about what a great trip it has been. Then we went to sleep in our cozy tent (with a new air mattress that had to be purchased after a slow leak) and slept until 9:00 ...

      That's a lot of miles.....

      ... to see much of them. Hopefully when I come back this way, I'll see a bit more. The playlist from work came in handy today and weirdly Empire State of mind, came on the shuffle as I was crossing the state line into NY. Someone had suggested anything by Chris Rea, and my favourite Chris Rea song is driving home for Christmas, so that came on in the blazing heat, halfway across Ohio. It made me chuckle :) Anyway time for sleep, more miles tomorrow. ...

      It had to be done in a half hour so in the interest of time we talked Brandon out of it. He conceded to do the little hero. He demolished all of it. That is a lot of food. A food challenge is still on the table somewhere along this trip. Has to be doesn't it. ...
