Nice to feel we accomplished our 2600 mile trip with no problems.
The weather here in Carlsbad is just glorious - clear blue skies and warm. Situated on the coast, and with a village feel- the time spent here is very relaxing. Vicki and I enjoyed an evening walk on the Promenade beside the ...

I was bracing myself for yet another crowded, noisy theme park, but was pleasantly surprised; the crowds were 'manageable' - the longest we waited for any ride was about 15 minutes - and while the vibe was fun, it wasn't quite so frenetic.
Although I knew it was essentially a theme park, I was hoping to see ...

We manage to get out of bed okay – I think the "Theme Park" cure for jetlag is working! We are a little later than we could be, but hey, we're on holiday! We walk over and get a buffet breakfast from the Lego restaurant again (and George really enjoys some bacon). The kids are itching to go and play in the Lego pits near reception, so we get back to our room quickly and get ready to go out.

After dragging them away from the ...
