... and took it all in, noticing that a lot of the 'rides' were more smaller-child friendly than Disneyland, and to be honest a lot of them were poor imitations. This park as a whole seemed to suffer from being so close to Disneyland and the extremely high standards those parks set - whilst it was very entertaining for the kids, it wasn't able to match the pure immersion of Disneyland and California Adventure. ... like someone really stuffed up big time somewhere (we weren’t the only guests left waiting an inordinate amount of time for our meals). We do spot another Aussie accent in the café, though don’t say anything to them. At least the staff came up to us and said no charge for the meals. Considering it was really late by the time we ate, we felt better once they did this. Back to our Lego Kingdom room, and off to another night’s ...

... Monkey enclosure. We have been to a lot of zoos around the world but the rumours proved to be correct about San Diego zoo, the environment the animals have is superior to any we have ever seen. One of my favourite bits of information was that the polar bears' water was set to 55 degrees Fahrenheit, 14 degrees higher than the arctic as they had become real San Diegans and got used to the amazing temperatures in this part of the world. They haven't started eating nachos ...
