Jalen's 1st trip to Tahoe- Worst trip

Jalen's 1st trip to tahoe was horrible. We went through a timeshare offer and the resort was so bad we left 1 day early! We saw our presentation which was horrible experience and checked out early. The room was small, dingy and so outdated. No AC as well and it was hot. We went to the Lake which was nice and Jalen dipped his feet in for the 1st time. He wasn't a fan because it was too cold.

... tuning our pack lists and checking for weight vs. necessity. The weather here in Tahoe has not been conducive to riding/training in the last two weeks but as the title says: we have " lots of time". Looking forward to meeting Maureen. The grown ups woke up with slightly sore heads - I put it down to the altitude. After a relaxed breakfast, including Olly's famous strawberry smoothies, we headed out on the short drive to Northstar mountain.

Northstar is one of Tahoe's several ski resorts. Tahoe is a genuine year-round outdoor playground. Its beauty beckons you out to enjoy its natural riches whether on skis, snowboard, bike, boat or ...

... book, Roughing It, apparently still sore about it.

We drive into town and its hard not to notice that it is built on a steep hillside. The main street is located on a gentle incline but homes on the west are built on ground quite a bit higher. The terrain on the other side looks like as if it were suited more for mountain goats than humans. St. Mary's of the Mountain Catholic Church is not more than a couple of hundred feet downhill from main street but ones toes jam into the ...

... you do not watch yourself, this society can turn you into a law abiding citizen without the ability to challenge or use your own logic in making decisions. Today was a riding highlight. We are in Lake Tahoe: Northstar is a ski resort in winter and opens for mountain biking in summer. Ski lifts take you to the top for a green, blue, black or dbl diamond run down. On my arrival in my lycra and single speed hard tail in hand, I felt ...
