... A drip of wine arrives followed by a watery soup with uncooked carrots. Gutted but not surprised I tried to eat it. And burnt my tongue. I do not like hot tea and I now don't like hot soup. Today was not going well #travellingproblems. Fortunately the soup was delicious and the carrots weren't raw! The wine was pretty good then they delivered some pancakes. I ate not to be polite and it took me all that time to work out it was filled with prunes ...

    Going Home

In the morning, breakfast @ 6:30. Bags out at 7:00 and Carolyn, Cynthia, Jean and I departed at 7:15 for the airport for our Lufthansa 9:40 flight to Frankfurt. At the airport we had to wait in line to receive our boarding passes. The online check-in didn't work, nor did the kiosk at the airport - it wouldn't read my passport. I thought I would just have goulash, but saw on the menu "layered potatoes" I thought I'd give them a try (not realizing ...

... via the Great Synagogue. I visited the synagogue and its remembrance gardens. After purchasing my ticket I made my way through tight security and a bag check. I already mentioned the fact of the mass grave yesterday and seeing the site where this grave was uncovered is truly moving. There are plaques with the names of those who died and even though they met an awful end all the people ended up in separate graves rather than staying in a mass grave. There is also ...

... the exact same type of comforter/duvet is really odd! Especially since out of our 4 hotels, 3 have actually been independent companies renting studio apartments (not a chain at all). It's just different. But those are the types of things we love experiencing. And at least we don't have to fight over the covers in the middle of the ...
