      ... was outrageous, sooooo many trucks and of course everything travelling very quickly. It was most tiring for John as the driver. The closer we got to Milan the worse it got, anyway, we survived. Luckily the road basically bypasses Milan and we were soon in Como.

      We arrived in this beautiful city at dusk so we weren't able to get the most out of it. Stayed there only for one hour and we spent that time in Parco Civico capturing the flickering lights of the city surrounded by mountains. The view from the shores of Lake Lugano was fascinating. It's truly a must-visit city and I'd love to go back and see it in broad daylight. ...

      ... luck in the small villages along the Fiume Adda. But after about 10 Km I saw a small garage that looked open so I stopped.
      The guy didn't speak english but we managed with hand signals pointing and showing him that I wanted 10W40. I needed a new speedo cable as well, but he didn't have any for an old Japanese bike. Fair enough, I know roughly how fast I am going.

      ... dog, only a little smaller. I notice the one in my bathroom has a small engraving that says "for lady", which still makes me laugh whenever I think about it. I check out and head down hill to the waterfront. I'm supposed to head out to the little fishing village of Morcote today, and want to get a boat out while the sun is out.
