This weekend Brandon and I went to Nice, France to celebrate our Four Year Anniversary. We both took eight hour trains on wednesday to get to Nice so that we could use our Eurail passes. I had a bit of a stressful day because I had to take an Italian test at 12 and my train left the Florence train station at 12:27. My teacher told me that the test would only take ten minutes and fortunately it did. I then ran to the train station (which is less than 5 minutes away from my school) and hopped o...

Monaco was unbelievable. I was awestruck most of the time by the fact that I was actually in Monte Carlo! Immaculate streets and gardens/parks, very clean. Designer labels and fashionable people everywhere. So small in area that every available inch of land is consumed, but still so much traffic. Amazing hills and views. The selection of photos show it best than I could describe - i took heaps of pics, so these are just a selection, but still a lot ...
Monaco, Monaco travellingross... the most beautiful boats in the world are in MonteCarlo...
Language is more interesting in france. If we try to do the simple tourist things then most people can work out what is going on but when we try something else eg. going to the doctor (sue has been sick) going to a chemist.. or finding a Laundamatt.. then the language thiig is a bit more animated....
have some grat pics of Nice and French Rivierra to show when we get home...
... didn't charge me. They do if the delay is less than 2 hrs. So instead of the 4:25pm flight, I am getting the 8:15pm. Annoying because I miss seeing Nice in daytime and the train ride to Monaco is supposed to be excellent views over the Mediterranean.
So, today has basically been in transit. Saw some good views from the plane window of the Swiss Alps (at least I think that’s what those mountains were).
Hahahaha, they are playing ...
We didnt do much in Cannes except go to the beach. Got there pretty early and were only planning on spending the day and night but then the realisation dawned that it might be the last chance to be at the beach again. SO... we decided to stay another night and have a final day at the beach. We took a walk around the old town ...

Every time we were in the picturesque town of Villefranche in the French Azur Coast, I always wanted to travel to Monaco. My schedule though wouldn`t let me do it. That day I managed with the time and straight ...
... to Nice. There are no campsites but we were recommended a great hostel. I always said I would never stay in a hostel again but well sometimes you have to. It was really good actually. Easy to get to town, great food and bar and all the rest. Sure it did have the "hostel smell" to it but it wasnt too bad. The first day we were there we took the bus back to Monaco. 40 mins of being crammed onto a bus made me thankful of honeydew. Wasnt that much to ...
Nice, Provence, France emmasadventures... time and then went back to the first one. We brought a beer each (10,80!!) and then realised at the other one it was happy hour and drinks were 2 euro off so we watched the haka and anthem at one and then settled at the other. The games were a success with New Zealand winning almost 100 points ahead and Australia about 16 (My interest only extended to one game). After that we had dinner and then well, wrote this up. Sorry for no more photos, i just keep forgetting to do it.
Nice, France sozrox... by us. The beach was very small and almost all was forbidden there: dogs, rollerblades, footballs, tennis rackets, ice-creams... etc etc etc... all these things were precisely drawn in a poster and crossed out. About ten frenchmen were swimming (it was winter...)and there appeared more of them every moment. We also stepped into the water and even we wanted to swim, but we had no bathing suits and had no results in our effort to invent in what way to swim naked in ...
