Left this morning Genora where Christopher Columbus was born, stopping in Pisa...Amazing Leaning Tower...lots of pics. Left Italy Travelling thru over 170 Tunnels thr the mountains. We're going to Monte Carlo tomorrow night for dinner...passed it today with all the yatchs in the Harbour

... was a sight to see. I have seen pictures of this coast line but walking by Hundreds of very large yatchs really speaks to the wealth of this county. The yatchs were unbelievable, each had their own crew, it was almost regal to observe. We walked further and made our way to the Monte Carlo Casino. It was grand...wi many many exotic cars lined up in front of it...Ferrari, Porsches, Bently and a Bugati Veyron which ed says is worth 2million ...
... the colors were just unbelievably inspiring. Unfortunately the exhibit in this particular gallery had a really religious focus and although it still highlighted his talent and imagination, it didn't have the pieces that I was hoping to see in person. Could be my favorite artist yet...put the trip isn't finished yet.

I chose the Salade St. Pauloise (cured ham, chevre and egg), Jeff had a Salade Niҁoise with our meal accompanied by the lovely pale, pink tones of a Côte de Provence Rosé (I just love this wine!!). It was the perfect meal for a hot, summer day. We were content sipping our wine while relishing the magnificent view. Saint-Paul-de-Vence is a delightful little town that is worth a stop as part of any visit to the Côte D’Azur.
