... off of 101 just south of Astoria OR. This is the beach with the famous Haystack Rock that shoots 300 feet into the air right off the beach. Amazing. 20 minutes on this beautiful beach changed the day for Anne...suddenly 5-6 hours on the bike was nothing! The day had warmed up to 80 and we were soon on the road again headed north to Raymond WA.

Each place I stopped in California, my host took me to a cool local spot for meals and I always figured I could have In N Out later when I was on my own. Then I found out today that In N Out doesn't exist on the Oregon and Washington coast. So. Sad. At least I have my milkshake, it keeps me from crying myself to sleep at night. Woe is me.

Ok, off to my yurt and the sunset! WOO! :)
