In between working hours, I went to Bugibba. My bus was 20 minutes late and then got stuck in traffic which added another extra 20 minutes to the journey. I was not impressed. We spent the evening having dinner at a restaurant that Chloe had recommended from when she came to Malta in April. It was a lovely meal and on the way home we stopped at the best ice cream shop in Bugibba - just to round off the evening! Golden bay ...

... state. I was expecting they would take what already exists and make it better, instead their dishes have a hint of its origin with less flavour. But I have to praise their pastizzi. They are phyllo pastries filled with ricotta cheese which you can find at almost every street corner. They are very affordable and soaking with butter….. Yummy, I would eat two or three a day between meals along with two or three ice creams…. Delicious!
