First off, I have to say that Sorento had a beautiful view of the ocean. But sadly some spots you had to pay to enter the beach, luckily for us we found a free spot to swim. On our fist day in Sorento we basically had a swim and wandered around the beautiful town. In the evening they have the streets all lit up and we walked down the avenue of shops and street stalls ...
... need constant maintenance. They have done a great job.
We decide to take an electric taxi back to the ship. The driver charges an extra 2 euros above the normal 8 euros because of the 4th person. A bit of fun, very quiet.
Dinner is at 8, dress is smart casual. After dinner we go the Vista Lounge to see a comedy & visual show with mime!. Mixed reviews in our group, I thought that is almost worth the free entry cost.
Tomorrow is a sea day.
In between working hours, I went to Bugibba. My bus was 20 minutes late and then got stuck in traffic which added another extra 20 minutes to the journey. I was not impressed. I did take the journey by myself though, after getting the first bus stop wrong. I felt accomplished after that although being late was a bit stressful.
Bugibba seemed like a lovely place, although to be honest I didn't get to look around ...
First full day in Malta. After nearly missing the bus this morning, and meeting some really nice and interesting people, we got to have quick look around Valletta, the capital of Malta.

There's no work this week (only four classes running!) so I'm off. Gives me a chance to update the blogs. I've also been going in in the morning to download material from the main computer, which means lugging around less books in the future! ...
