Sunrise Hoi An Beach Resort
Travel Blogs from Hoi An
Final day in Hoi An and it started early with T jumping into bed at about 6am... some failed Maths homework followed and finally to breakfast for more continental delight...sounds bad but you can realy have too much of a good thing and rice noodles with chicken and pork for breakfast is easily beaten by bread and cheese!

The day started early for me at 5.45... a quick slab of cheddar cheese on toasted baguette with marmalade (an old fave) and me and Mike quickly made it to Da Nang Golf Club. It was one of the best in Vietnam and after a spending spree in the club house for hats, gloves, tees, balls etc..we were joined with our caddies. Mine was called 'Hi' but …
We woke slowly after a few glassed of wine the night before... breakfast was the usual feast but instead of going to the pool, we decided to go for an adventure into Hoi An. The hotel had bikes for hire and after finding helmets to keep Mum happy, we got set up. Isabel was in a seat behind Dad and Thomas and Mum had their own bikes. I got the GoPro …
I woke early at 6 to head to the gym and after an hour work out I got back to the room and found all still asleep. The drama started early with T melting down doing his regular morning maths homework having a complete mental block...I think I may have been like that at some point!
We headed for breakfast which was a huge buffet, much to …
Goooood Morning Vietnaaam!
Well actually it was afternoon and there wasn't much going good about it. Issues arose in Changi where our Jetstar check-in went less than speedily, luckily we had given ourselves time as it ended up being a hasty trip to the gate as boarding was finishing.
The flight itself Shaylee has described as her …

TravelPod Member ReviewsSunrise Hoi An Beach Resort
We stayed at Sunrise for 3 nights in August and were more than happy with the experience. Some of the decoration is looking a tiny bit tatty already, but this is purely the odd chipped paint etc, nothing more.
The rooms are nice and modern and have all the amenities you want. WiFi was reliable which also seems a rarity in these parts.
The pool bar does a happy hour between 5 and 7 in which is't 2 for 1 on all alcoholic beverages. Just keep in mind that you will automatically get two of the same, you can't have two different even if they're the same price.
Drinks did seem a little expensive, not by western hotel standards but certainly for the middle of Vietnam. The Thai food by the pool bar really was superb, probably some of the best we had during out visit.
Other reviews mentioned the lack of English speaking front house staff. I must admit we didn't encounter this, all of the staff were very courteous and we had no problem in understanding one another.
There's a free shuttle bus to and from Hoi An old town on a reasonably frequent basis, and also a free shuttle to the airport, although a hotel taxi is only $15 anyway.
All in all a very enjoyable stay and a hotel that I would be happy to recommend.
