          Luxury interior and diversity cuisine

Sunrise Hoi An had a luxury interior, I was impressed when entering the main lobby of the hotel, an extremely bright yellow was twinkle. The layout was classic and modern. Another thing I really like about the Sunrise Hoi An that cuisine was extremely rich, many seafood dishes attractive. Enjoying delicious dishes in front of the beach was really interesting. Staff were friendly and attentive. I will come back next time.

A good hotel on the beach

by (9 reviews) Milton Keynes , United Kingdom Flag of United Kingdom

We stayed at Sunrise for 3 nights in August and were more than happy with the experience. Some of the decoration is looking a tiny bit tatty already, but this is purely the odd chipped paint etc, nothing more.

The rooms are nice and modern and have all the amenities you want. WiFi was reliable which also seems a rarity in these parts.

The pool bar does a happy hour between 5 and 7 in which is't 2 for 1 on all alcoholic beverages. Just keep in mind that you will automatically get two of the same, you can't have two different even if they're the same price.

Drinks did seem a little expensive, not by western hotel standards but certainly for the middle of Vietnam. The Thai food by the pool bar really was superb, probably some of the best we had during out visit.

Other reviews mentioned the lack of English speaking front house staff. I must admit we didn't encounter this, all of the staff were very courteous and we had no problem in understanding one another.

There's a free shuttle bus to and from Hoi An old town on a reasonably frequent basis, and also a free shuttle to the airport, although a hotel taxi is only $15 anyway.

All in all a very enjoyable stay and a hotel that I would be happy to recommend.

The day started early for me at 5.45...  a quick slab of cheddar cheese on toasted baguette with marmalade (an old fave) and me and Mike quickly made it to Da Nang Golf Club.  It was one of the best in Vietnam and after a spending spree in the club house for hats, gloves, tees, balls etc..we were joined with our caddies.  Mine was …

We woke early and decided to have a relaxed morning by the pool before arranging to leave for the drive down to Hoi An at 12.

The drive was seriously slow..the main highway from Ho Chi Minh to Hanoi is only one lane between Hue and Hoi An...they are in the process of expanding to 4 lanes and there are half demolished houses an cafe's …

Eric blew past it, but thankfully Lauren saw it and shouted for Eric to pull a U-turn. As we approached the entrance with our bikes in tow, The owner saw us smiled and bolted up from her seat gesturing for us to park our bikes next to the restaurant. We hesitantly asked her if she really thought they'd be allright there, ...

... It soon became clear that our efforts of topping up sun cream over sweaty bodies hadn't worked that well because the backs of my legs, forearms and hands were burnt. FYI sunburn on hands really hurts. Not long after, we headed out to a market, recommended by Anna the night before, to get some tailor made dresses. After searching endlessly for 'Jenny's stall', we gave up and chose the cheapest tailor we could find, each ordering a dress to be collected the next day! Back at ...

But having seen first hand, down at Cu Chi, the incredible work these people have achieved in tunneling, I'm suspicious that there is an entrance somewhere in our room, and they're waiting, duster and chocolates in hand for us to leave. I guess we'll never know. All in all we've loved our stay here. Tam Biet ...
