Great stay, but wouldn't recommend Studio
We stayed July 17-20 in one of their studio rooms. This room was wonderful except for the fact that the track lighting on the walkway outside of the room shone in through the very thin blinds all night. We ended up placing the comforter from the bed over the window and a towel over the window on the door. Also through discount sites online, you can get the 2 bedroom for not much more than the studio and you may not have the lighting problem. They need to put thick curtains up in those studios. Also the boat ramp they advertise is on Lake Taneycomo, a relatively shallow trout lake more similar to a river. Good for small aluminum boats, we were afraid to put our fish n ski in there and we drove to Table Rock instead. The staff here was very friendly.
Golfing with mr. bowling
mr bowling went well beyond the call of duty. he made my golfing experience quite fullfilling. he cater to my entire group. he was very willing to help us with any problems we had, on and off the course. he picked a few of us up at our rooms so our wivies could have the vehicles while we were golfing. he took time with us, and gave a few lessons as we played. All i can say is Sunterrra has a jewel in the activity department, and his name is mr bowling. Thanks again for making my golfing a success.
Best Trip Yet to Branson
We have made 11 vacation trips during the past 3 years, including 3 to Branson. Sunterra was by far the best resort we have visited. The activities staff has scheduled many interesting things to do every day, including evening entertainmment on-site with dinner. The restaurant serves all-you-can-eat buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner at very reasonable prices. We found the check-in staff to be very courteous, and the maintenance staff very quick to respond. We had a slow draining tub that was fixed in about an hour, and a vcr connected in minutes! Tickets can be purchased for local shows at discount prices. We rate this resort outstanding!
A Great Branson Resort!
We stayed at the Plantation at Fall Creek for one week. We were on a timeshare trade, and we stayed in a two bedroom condo there. The condo was well furnished and very spacious. There was plenty of room for our guests and us. We enjoyed the screened porch in the back, and we enjoyed the resort and all of the pools, golf, fishing, and boating that the resort offered. The entertainment in the Branson area was super, and we never ran out of things to do. We plan to return to this resort in 2005.
When I booked this resort, I thought that Fall Creek Resort, Fall Creek Plantation and Clarion at Fall Creek were all the same thing. THEY ARE NOT! When ever you book your condo make sure you are getting the one you want. Fall Creek Resort, 2 bedroom condo does not have a whirl pool bath and screend in porch. The pictures that you see of the rooms on the Fall Creek web site are not those of the Fall Creek Resort rooms. The Fall Creek Plantation on the other hand are the pictures that you see. It is very decieving. The Fall Creek Plantation have the nice beautifull rooms with the whirl pool tub and screened in porch. The Fall Creek Resort are the "ok" rooms with paper thin walls. There is a serious spider problem outside the door and on the stairwells. I'm talking about lots of BIG spiders EVERYWHERE at night. We stayed at the Fall Creek Resort and pretty much had to run through the stairwells to keep away from them. Again like I said if money is not a problem and you want to stay somehwere classy go the plantation rout. If you want a place where you have to get on your knees to take a shower because the shower heads are placed to low on the wall, then go the resort rout. Otherwise, we will stay here again only this time I know to book it at the Fall Creek Plantation.
Please read if you want to stay here!!!!
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!
Pools not open at the end of June/early July, have to clean your own rooms, can't get clean towels unless you TURN in your used ones to the front desk!!!!!, rude front desk workers, even worse amenities (what a JOKE!).... and the grass and pond areas look like they haven't been cared for in years. Not a RESORT at all. Far from it.
And definitely NOT FIVE STAR! MORE LIKE 2 STAR if even that.
A very nice place to stay!
We stayed for 4 nights in one of the Studios and had a great experience. It was very clean and private, close to everything yet very quiet. The only complaint I would have would be the spiders outside (webs hanging from the walkways or near door/windows). We never saw any spiders or other insects inside the unit. All in all, it was a great stay for us and we will visit again.
Do not stay here!
If you stay at this place DO NOT let them schedule you to talk with the sales force. What they do is misrepresent their product which is fraud. You cannot believe anything they say. If I would have not paid cash for the product I would have just not paid the payments and waited for them to contact me. But I did pay cash and since they no longer have a financial interest in me nobody beyond the operator will talk to me. There are plenty of good places in Branson where the sales staff are not thiefs, management is willing to talk to you and where the condos are not full of ants.
Sunterra at Fall Creek
We stayed at this resort for 5 nights and were very impressed. We got a great rate and stayed in a studio that had a queen size bed, pull out sofa and a small kitchen. The resort had several outdoor pools, indoor pool, mini-golf and lots of activities. Only slight problems. We had several spiders in the room and we were in a non-smoking unit, but the people next to us must have been smoking. Smoke kept coming into our room, mostly at night. Nothing we couldn't handle, informed the front desk, but had the smoke the entire visit. I would stay here again for the price we got.
We've stayed in the Clarion at Fall Creek condo's 4 times and I think it's the best value you can find. We get the 2 bedroom, 2 bath with living and kitchen area and pull out sofa and usually pay between $100-$120. We've always booked through online through Branson Nights Travel, so they give us a bit of a break on the price. The condo's have not been recently updated, most were mauve or light blue decor with slightly worn carpet and sometimes a smoke smell, but for the space and amenities offered at Fall Creek, its better than paying for 2 separate hotel rooms somewhere else thats probably about the same as far as smoke etc.. Once we got a room that was really nicely remodeled, i think it was privately owned. They have several pools, a putt-putt and it's right on a river where you can rent boats at a good price. I was planning on trying somewhere different for our next trip, but I don't think I can beat the space, price and good location.
