      ... woke up with a bladder infection. The immodium AD I had taken had proven uncharacteristically ineffective. We beat a hasty retreat and went looking for a farmacia. They told us Dawn needed a prescription for her condition, and we asked if there was a Red Cross nearby. There was, but they did not inform us that the Red Cross there provided only ambulances services. We did not discover this till a couple hours later.       ... that Portugal has to offer. One city calls itself the Venice of Portugal! Should be interesting. But first I will head 40 minutes west to Sintra a UNESCO World Heritage Site after that it is east to Evora another World Heritage Site with amazing castles and ancient ruins.       Today was bittersweet as it was our last day with the Shifrins and our time in Maine was drawing to a close. Besides, we needed to start thinking about things like getting the kids to the Doctor so they could enrol in school, setting up our apartment and, in general, beginning the process of readying ourselves to get back into a routine and starting school and work!!!!       ... home just before 7pm to a lovely dinner of homemade calzones.
