Fabulous day. Headed off at 9.30 today. Our driver was Ketut. First stop was at a silver factory to watch how silver is made here for jewellery. Went a little crazy here. Managed to buy something called 'Soffell' which is a cream to stop Mosquitos biting you and it works great ( if you remember to slap it on ) booked a trip around the Island for Monday so were looking forward to that. Air-con is on permanently on in our room which is. A must over here and it's great to come in to an iced cold room to chill out and ...

Aaah, great ocean breezes. We are staying in the Alia House, about 5 minutes from the beach. A great little room, with air, pool, breakfast and a complete kitchen if we want to cook....hahahaha! Staff is fantastic. The hotel has 9 rooms and 2 floors and is tucked away in the middle of a quiet, residential street (but only a block away from the noise of major thoroughfares.
