    ... and saw some whale/dolphin pods just off the boat. It was a very calm crossing between the Gili's and Bali so we did fine up on the roof. When we got to Padangbai (the main port) we hopped off, caught our bags as they got tossed off the roof, and headed for the parking lot where a shuttle van awaited us. 13 of us piled in the 12 person van, that also had no air con (but he put the "fan" on, phfffft, whole lot of good that does with 13 sweaty bodies piled on ...

    What a morning. An unexpected surprise when we got here was that we had tickets included to do a Sea Walker Trip. This is where one puts on an astronaut looking helmet and go fully underwater as air is pumped into the helmet. Your face and head never get wet though water does come up to your chin.     ... to leave to Amsterdam on 31 October. We had a great day together and some drinks before she had to leave to the airport.

    Ashley and Francois had a goodbye dinner that night and I said goodbye to a lot of people.

    Ashley and I also had to get ready for our trip to Raja Ampat, Ambon and Banda Neira. We were leaving early the next day.

    ... the dark moist warmth of Ubud. Having heard from Juli the taxi driver about his 14 month old son 'He fill me with so much joy. When he say "Dad" it make my heart sing.' Juli was my first Balinese to try the Jokowi test on. "And what do you think about the new President?'
