    Overpriced luxury

Bungalow was wonderful but set across the road and in the trees with no view of the beach is not ideal. Extortionate and compulsory charging for a Chrismas Eve dinner even less ideal. For a far more pleasant and cheaper alternative stay at Miami just along the beach - ate and drank there and stayed well clear of the bar and restaurant at Sri Lanta. Even breakfast was disappointing - pork and more park and western food only. Why would I go to Thailand to have bacon and eggs

... grab off your towel area while you watched them. The park ranger gave me a stick to scare the monkeys away if they got too close. We saw other animals like a monitor lizard that was slowly walking towards a pond area and then hiked along a nature walk that went over the ridge into the park jungle. Another ambitious day, we went on a snorkelling tour of the Koh Rok islands. The fast boat picked us up off the beach and was full of tourists before ...

... for me. Our final stop was the Emerald Cave. Everyone has to wear life jackets to enter. It was pretty funny because none of us really put them on properly so they were up round our ears most of the time. You swim into the cave entrance and then its about 50 metres of swimming and knocking into other people in the dark before you come out the other side. The light reflecting in the water made the walls light up a greenish colour. It opened out at the end into a quite big ...

... back to my guesthouse. When I arrived at my guesthouse I checked on the bus ticket for the next day which had been confirmed all ok. It was then that I noticed an Australian family in the common area and we started chatting, doing so for quite a while actually. It was nice to talk to people from back home as it had been a while. After we finished chatting it was time for me to get back to my hut to finish packing ready for my departure the next day. I was heading to Koh Lanta and I couldn't wait!

... Then we headed to Maya bay where we stopped for an hour but due to us all being hungover and tired we decided to nap (oops). Then we were promised to see the sunset and the glowing plankton, but the man who was driving the boat decided that he had had enough and told us that we wouldn't be able to see them (luckily the trip was only £8). After 4 days of hardcore partying on Ko Phi Phi we decided to grab a boat back to Krabi town so we ...

... as they would cost a fortune and we could probably walk it after all it's only straight along the road we are on. So we set off, it was quite cloudy so we didn't bother with sun cream and there was a breeze so we didn't get any water. 20 minutes in it was very hot and we needed water, 30 minutes in we finally found somewhere with water and grabbed a bottle, I'd drunk half of it before we even left the shop (side of the street stall), we carried on. According to ...
