    Overpriced luxury

Bungalow was wonderful but set across the road and in the trees with no view of the beach is not ideal. Extortionate and compulsory charging for a Chrismas Eve dinner even less ideal. For a far more pleasant and cheaper alternative stay at Miami just along the beach - ate and drank there and stayed well clear of the bar and restaurant at Sri Lanta. Even breakfast was disappointing - pork and more park and western food only. Why would I go to Thailand to have bacon and eggs

We apparently went for dinner at the right time because just as we sat down the skies opened up and it poured to the point of flooding the road! He sat in the restaurant talking to the owner Lid for a little while. He showed us some photos of people he's met and a really nice cookbook that Australian ...

... to be as hard work as it was. It was a long, steep and slippery walk up to the caves and then inside was a lot of slippery rocks and small holes to climb through. I had a couple of falls and came out a little bruised and covered in mud, but it was a lot of fun and Sophie and I slept well that night!

... to be at that time.

The day after we continued on to Koh Tao, and island that ended up being one of my favorites. Koh Tao is famous for it’s diving and since I don’t have my certificate I decided it was time for that. I signed up for a 3 day course and it was one of the best things I have done in my life. Diving is awesome! Tim finished his advanced diving certificate and the last day we went for 2 dives together. One of the afternoons that we had of from ...

... to Klong Dau beach and came back to pick us up after the sun set! She was so kind! The beach was lovely, white sand and clear waters! Which was bliss UNTIL...the boys spotted a giant bright blue jelly fish so we were then too scared to get back in and left no choice other than to grab some shade in a Thai Massage hut! The 'Thai massage with coconut oil' I was lead to believe - is much more relaxed than the usual Thai ...

... best out of a bad bunch! We were wrong! After walking through the slums and shanti shacks to get to our new humble abode, we arrived at a building site which was our new view! We then looked at three doors (one which didn't lock) and opened these lovely entrances to be engulfed in a smell of petrol and urine (lovely combo) our bathroom door had holes punched through it so all we could do was get in and get out!! We put ...
