Koh Lanta for Christmas
Needed a break for Christmas, had to get out of Sibu and find a beach.

Back on the beach, we're told that there will be two departures; one now and another 30 minutes from now. Looks like everyone had a long day and 85% of us rush to the boat. I manage to secure my family on board (in the words of Chris Rock in "I take care of my kids" routine.....I take care of my wife !!!!!! ). WARNING, HAS SOME VULGAR LANGUAGE.

... Majalle tultaessa, joka toisen sanan väliin respa sanoi "maybe upgrade". Totesimme, että kyllä tässä ainakin yö menee, katsellaan huomenna uusiksi. Meitä ei niinkään kiinnostanut ensimmäisen yön majat, vaan yleisesti resortin lähimaastosta löytyvä rafla- ja kauppatarjonta. Parin tunnin käppäilyn jälkeen totesimme, että majat ja lokaatio (Klong Khong Beach) menevät vaihtoon.

“ Overpriced luxury ”

Bungalow was wonderful but set across the road and in the trees with no view of the beach is not ideal. Extortionate and compulsory charging for a Chrismas Eve dinner even less ideal. For a far more pleasant and cheaper alternative stay at Miami just along the beach - ate and drank there and stayed well clear of the bar and restaurant at Sri Lanta. Even breakfast was disappointing - pork and more park and western food only. Why would I go to Thailand to have bacon and eggs
