      Overpriced luxury

Bungalow was wonderful but set across the road and in the trees with no view of the beach is not ideal. Extortionate and compulsory charging for a Chrismas Eve dinner even less ideal. For a far more pleasant and cheaper alternative stay at Miami just along the beach - ate and drank there and stayed well clear of the bar and restaurant at Sri Lanta. Even breakfast was disappointing - pork and more park and western food only. Why would I go to Thailand to have bacon and eggs

... go through 2 car ferry places.. the ferry part of the tour im guessing... it was actually pretty cool and quite fun.. getting off onto the first ferry the views were phenomenal, water like glass and we saw all the rocky islands. Well we eventually arrived in beautiful Koh Lanta at 3 30. We got a tuck tuck taxi and off we went chugging along and arrived at paradise. We are staying in a beautiful garden bungalow. After settling in and letting the ...

Even though I've been here about a week now haha! Our room was horrendous and was more like a cell than anything else, we paid like a fiver for it so we didn't expect much..... Didn't even have hot water or bed covers so it was very very basic. After 2 days we upgraded to a room with A/C which was amazing as Emma's ...

... mention here that I FINALLY beat my husband!) to the sounds of soothing reggae beats and to enjoy the best pad thai’s on the trip so far – we totted up how many we’d had between us during our five days and it came to eight! Yummmmm!

We were glad that we’d ended our Thai island hopping on the lovely Ko Lanta as the long evening strolls along the beach watching sunset were the perfect place ...

... pillow. Staff bring you towels and set up the loungers and large parasols for you. Then they bring you iced water constantly, scented iced towels and complimentary fruit sticks. They even provide a little call button so you can order food/drinks or request more water without having to move! This was just such a luxury experience! We have moved up in the world- from throwing your own towel down on the beach in India to this! At 5pm Happy hour arrives. We really ...

... after the departure time of the ferry however thankfully it was my lucky day as the ferry hadn't yet left. I was ushered on to the ferry immediately by the guys working at the port and no sooner had I sat down and we were off. Just in the nick of time! The ferry journey to Koh Phi Phi was an hour and a half and on arrival at the island checked into the hotel (which was the longest check in process EVER), I took the chance to relax for a short while after ...
