Bungalow was wonderful but set across the road and in the trees with no view of the beach is not ideal. Extortionate and compulsory charging for a Chrismas Eve dinner even less ideal. For a far more pleasant and cheaper alternative stay at Miami just along the beach - ate and drank there and stayed well clear of the bar and restaurant at Sri Lanta. Even breakfast was disappointing - pork and more park and western food only. Why would I go to Thailand to have bacon and eggs

Trang City & Island Fever: Trang (Ko Libong/Ko Mook) & Krabi (Ko Lanta/Ko Mook), Thailand. Now, that I've finished reading my first novel on this trip, "The God of Small Things," and I'm thoroughly depressed by the journey that it took me on, I can now focus on writing about some of the most enchanting and magical places that I have seen- …

... was no one in the booth so we just went straight in and thankfully we didn't have to pay as it was nice but certainly not worth more than 20 baht at the most. Exhausted we headed back to Ao Nang.

After all the touristy adventures and completely drained of energy we went for some dinner at the only place that appeared to be on the ocean side of the road. The meals were tiny, but the sunset certainly made up for our disappointment with the food. After ...

... the way. After a little arguing (and silence from our driver) we started moving again. I think the driver felt bad himself, and for us, but if he didn't go along with the scam he would get harassed by the taxi drivers. We had him drop us off at a guesthouse / restaurant for lunch that then refused to let us use their WIFI if we weren't definitely going to book a room with them. Buying lunch ...

... only Thai signs to go on. It was safe to say this was not the place many sick tourists would head to, very much the locals hospital. However, the staff were very friendly and did their best to speak English for us which we appreciated very much. Thanks to the staff here the whole ordeal was actually made very stress free and simple. They took Graeme for a number of tests to make sure his sickness wasn't due to malaria or anything more serious and ...

... it's nice to be alone. It's nice to have time to sort out your thoughts and to ride terrible bicycles to ancient civilizations which leads to a feeling of strength and independence within yourself you never thought possible. However, nothing compares to the love, compassion, support and comic relief that a wonderful group of friends can provide. I honestly may have broken down without you here. And if any of you magical people are reading this; thank you.
