    ... and act like it's the norm. For me it still seems odd. When crossing the street there are very few walk signs so you just have to walk and everyone will just manoeuvre around you. Sometimes on my walk I might see some power wires hanging on the ground off the power poll or some wild dog growling at some people or a truck with 20 people piled on and in it. Or sharing a motor cycle taxi with someone else so 3 people are on one ...

    Having been woken up by more almighty fireworks at midnight it was hard to imagine a holiday with so little sleep.... In the morning we got up to join Emma and Stu this time for the walk on the beach. It was so calm and peaceful - the perfect time to spend time on the beach in patong. The sellers were only just setting up and therefore quite uninterested in us which was a nice change.... Breakfast was the usual ...

    ... strikes. There are outdoor muay thai training gyms everywhere and many foreigners come here to train. We went to a real Muay Thai fight night where we were able to place (small) bets with the locals for either the "red" or "blue" guy. Casey was right about a few of them and lost a few others.

    It was exciting to watch and it really is all about the art form and not so much about the "fight". ...
