A first occurred for us at Little River Bridge, a mile before our destination. We were the solitary boat and were about 10 minutes past the bridge's normal hourly opening. I was prepared to patiently circle while we waited for nearly an hour for the next opening. Boaters who know this bridge will be amazed at what happened ...
Our start this rnorning found us aground in the mouth of Jeremy Creek after leaving Leland Oil dock in McClellansville, SC. While this wasn't on our plan it did provide the opportunity to eat a nice breakfast, coming unstuck from the oatmeal-like bottom just as we finished the last of our coffee. It was nice to see everyone’s smiling faces and see my little Lulu looking all white and fluffy as usual. We drove across the street to WalMart and made a big soup and salad dinner to help make up for the fatty breakfast we had devoured that morning. Hello South ...
