Nice place - front desk made me feel bad

We used RCI points to stay here. The place is very nice, however, surprisingly crowded for December at a beach resort. It's not right on the ocean, but they do have a private club, outdoor pool and beach access with parking across the street. We only choose this property to use RCI points we needed to use or we'd lose them. We were told all the outdoor pools are heated to 82 degrees, so I think I might try swimming. When I checked on the indoor pool, the facility was nice, but it was dominated by children. We are in a one bedroom in Building D which has a 'lock-out' common door with a two bedroom suite next door. I believe all one bedrooms on this property have this common door, so they have the option of creating a three-bedroom space. The gas fireplace in the livingroom is a nice accent. There really isn't anything to look at out the windows. We had a screened in balcony, but no view. They have the bumpiest floors in the hallway, so when people are using the luggage carts it sounds almost as loud as the planes taking off from Myrtle Beach Airport next door! There is a nice big tub with water jets and a separate shower stall. Clean, but the walls are paper thin! We had two ladies next to us and they just were hollering at each other, talking loud and laughing all night long! I draped a beach towel over our common door to try to absorb the sound, but it didn't help. They also kept opening and closing doors very loudly constantly. They're even loud when they're coming and going in the hall way! We agreed to go to the sales presentation just to learn about how Holiday Inn does their point system. When we were asked about how we liked the resort, we told our sales lady about the loud ladies and thin walls. She and her boss acted very concerned and told us of course, they would get right on it to correct the situation by moving us. I thought the big boss left to make a phone call. When he returned he told me to go to the front desk and they would take care of me. When I arrived at the front desk, the man behind the counter knew nothing about it and immediately told me they didn't have any spare rooms to move us to. He wanted to call to reprimand the ladies, but it is my experience when you complain about someone being loud, they just get louder. I told him what the big boss Joe said and he nastily told me: "Well, he has no right to do that, he doesn't have the inventory list back there." Why did I need to know that? He should have just nicely said he would check into for me. He made me feel awful. So then I was dismissed and he would call me within the hour if they could do something. (Why did I suspect he called back to the sales office to see if I made a purchase?) They must have told him we were a nice couple, because he did call me and I told him I was very grateful that he found another room in the same building for us to move to. So they did end up solving our problem. I had to execute the move myself since my husband had a tee time. When I was on my second trip, the ladies returned and convinced me once again that we needed to vacate the area! I just wish they had been more sympathetic at the front desk. The sales people made me feel that my happiness was important and then when I went to the desk, I felt like I was a bother. It left a bad impression with me that first he lied and said there were no rooms available. It is a clean, nice place. Pack noise cancelling headphones!

... We rode in a helicopter for about 5 min for 40$ each. It was a quick ride but a great experience. After that we headed back to barefoot landing to see the tigers from T.I.G.E.R.S preservations. people were taking pictures holding the tiger but that was 100$. We just decided to look at the cub tigers through the glass. That was a nice experience. They were very playful. ...

We loved this anchorage. Under-rated in the guide books. we swam; went ashore
and have great sunset and sunrise moments. This will be our last night in North Carolina, tomorrow we start our tour of South Carolina.

          Well that's a wrap folks -
To say we had a good time in the USA, would be an understatement. It's not possible to put into words all the things we have seen and experienced; and the awesome things the girls have learnt along the way. The RV life is something the Americans do very very well and it's a great way to see this diverse country. America The Great, may not be as great as it once was and this is evident by ...

North Myrtle Beach, SC Freedom Boat Club was our destination today. We got an 18ft
