Our main reason for being in Houston was to visit the Johnson Space Center (JSC). We arrived at 10am and got a spot right by the entrance, because there were not many people there. We immediately jumped on the site tour. First stop was the actual ground control center used for the 60s to 80s rocket launches. The current ground control center is one floor down. ... a weekend so the traffic was not too bad. Seabrook is a really nice seaside town. For dinner we found an independent restaurant called Seabrook Classic Cafe. ... After the mandatory safety briefing we head up (and up and up) to the sail-away party on the top deck. Sail away is at 4pm. At 4:15 we are watching the port crew still loading luggage...4:30 the luggage has been loaded but we sit - who cares? There is music and dancing, silly contests and drinks. 4:45 - the band has finished playing and is packing up. The party's over. Hmmm...
