We landed from Easter Island, having lost 4 hours, at 11.30pm so didn't see much at all apart from lot of street lights. Our overnight hotel in Papeete was right on the waterfront and ideal for the ferry we were to catch to the island of Moorea the next morning.

Our last day in Moorea, we visited the turtle rehab center before we realized that we had not made our “country letters”. We quickly picked up lots of beautiful flowers from the hotel grounds to make the letters. We hope you like the letters although we cannot post their fragrance on the blog. ...

We arrived at our resort and for some reason that is still unknown to me the upgraded us...not to an ocean view room from our "cheap" garden view....but all the way up to an over water bungalow, that was normally over $800 a night! Awesome. We figure it is because we stink and our clothes are dirty and they wanted to keep us away from their "classy" guests like the ones we shared the van with. What an amazing treat! Not too much new going on today, just a pure beach day. Got in a bunch of reading, snorkeling, and floating in the lagoon. We've been contemplating doing an excursion while we are here...
