A long weekend, always inspires me for long drives or distant
locations, and this weeks choice was for a long drive, but within the
span of a day.

We had heard so much about the natural scenic beauty of Hogenakkal
falls (Niagara of India), in Tamilnadu, about 180 Kms from Bangalore,
but especially during and after rains.

Even though we went during summer , heard it was the begining of the season. there was just enough water in the falls and also in the river. We alighted the coracle in a small river island , played there was around 2 hours [it was like just 10 mins.. ] then finished our lunch and started way back.
