The tides are all wrong so we head into Moreton Bay and anchor near a little reef at Blaksleys, Nth Straddie. Australia's so large that the climate varies, in some parts it's warm, some parts cold, and some parts mild. After we unpacked the first thing that I did was check if the toilet water actually swirl the other way around, I sadly found out that that was a myth however. :(

First thing we saw though was a couple of kangaroos. This excited Johanna and I, and of course our cameras got another work out. We camped where we could shelter from the wind, and after a few drinks, managed to get some tea into us. We cleaned up and as we were all tired had an early night, ready to catch a sight of Gympie tomorrow, ...

The alarm rang at 7am this morning! We got ourselves together and Teresa dropped us off at the Noosa Junction just in time for our Greyhound bus to Australia Zoo!!! We set off bang on time at 8:10am and arrived just after 9:30 at the zoo in the area of Beerwah on the Sunshine Coast. We headed for the ticket booth, collected a park map and we walked on into the zoo for the day! It was a perfect day for walking around, it was lovely and warm but not scorching hot ...
