Vanaf mount Faber zijn we met de Cable Car over het water naar eiland Sentosa gegaan. Mooi uitzicht alleen jammer dat het onaangenaam warm in de cabine is. Eenmaal aangekomen is het even zoeken naar de juiste weg want er is veel te beleven hier.

My Worst Hotel Experience
I booked a grand superior suite in this resort and all I can say is that I'm ultimately disappointed and apalled with the service provided. I was treated worse than a guest despite paying for a suite. It was definitely not worth it.
Firstly, I was being told off by the security officer about going entering the hotel after midnight but it was way before that at 1030pm. The room was under my friend's name & the security officer refuse to talk to me and insist on only talking to my friend as it was under his name. The thing is the suite could take in 4 guests and I'm 1 of them so why couldn't he talk to me. He even scrutinise me regarding my friends. When I went out of the hotel again, he was shouting at me saying that he wished I wasn't going back anymore. Isn't that plain bad attitude! I went to complain about it 4 times and the staff did not do anything about it and when i requested to see the manager each time, there isn't one around,even in the daytime and at night,so does this mean its the management is being manage without any managers around?
Besides bad attitude, the service was slow and bad. I requested for towels and they just said that there were no towels available as all were sent to laundry and this was in the morning.What hotel runs without having towels, its such a basic amenity! With such complaints and feedback, I don't see any improvement with the staff at all. Besides me, I've seen 2 other groups of guests who were so apalled that they just checked out immediately on the spot.
The place has a good location, nice environment,however the service and staff are really bad which makes it nothing. After I checked out, the staff said they would get back to me and I haven't got any reply from them. This shows how nonchalent and how much they value the guest feedback. I do not think it's definitely worth a stay.
Lovely friendly hotel in a great location
Was a bit concerned about this hotel after reading some of the reviews, however we were very pleasantly surprised. The hotel is lovely, right across road from the beach and within walking distance of most things on Sentosa. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast on the rooftop overlooking the ocean was also very good. The pool area is one of the best i've seen in my travels, which includes waterslides which look tame, but aren't. I would recommend this hotel, especially to families, has a lovely resort, rainforesty type feel about it and is great value for the price compared to the Shangri-La which we stayed at last year. Would definitely stay at siloso Beach over Shangri-La any day!
Good value,good location
I stopped off here for five nights at the beginning of Dec 2006 and found the experience a pleasant one. The staff were friendly and helpful....the beach location ideal for me...the beach food places, good value and quality.....the beach clean, safe...and warm water!:)
I liked the amazing view from the roof top breakfast restaurant, which I found to have a good choice and 'value- for- money' quality.
The 'jungle setting is lovely and the pool and waterfall a great asset.The chalets still under construction, were of no problem to me.
My room was clean, great comfortable bed, had it's own safe.... small
but adequate modern bathroom/toilet and picture window with view over the beach.
To sum up, value for money, an imaginative development and so much better than staying in the hectic city! I forced myself to look around the city in the mornings....BUT, it was soooo lovely to return
to Siloso Beach or another beach close by, for the afternoon!!
Better than just GOOD!
Firstly i have to say i am amazed at how some ppl pay S$350 (promo rate for the Garden Suite wit the Jacuzzi) and expect the Burj!..I won't fault this hotel at all. Yes its not fully completed...Yes they
don't have a coffeehouse or a restaurant. Yes i got bitten by a mosquito while checking in. But hey!....its worth every dollar u pay. Y??..Here goes...
Beautiful landscape.( Unlike Rasa Sentosa) The pool, the bridge that leads u from the reception to your rooms, real cool!
The rooms although not huge, very well furnished with modern amenities. (Full length windows looking out to Cafe Del Mar, Lcd Tv)
The jacuzzi, i would say fit 2 person comfortably.Ok mayb coz me and gf kinna not big.The view from the rooftop jacuzzi??..

Breakfast i dunno coz didn't bother waking up bt the area they were serving looks nice wit the view of the ocean.
The service although not the Ritz bt as long as u don't expect to be served on hands and knees, i think they do alrite. Polite and helpful. N no they're not your personal butlers.
On the whole, i would say its not The W in Maldives nor the Four Seasons in Jimbaran nor the Burj in Dubai.(N yes been to them all)
:) Bt neither is the price so its very much worth wat u pay.
A Very Good Resort
We stayed in this resort during the Chinese New Year peak from 17 Feb to 20 Feb 2007. Although the hotel is fully booked, the service is good. The swimming pool is excellent with slides, waterfall and forest-liked ambience. The environment of the roof-top cafe for breakfast is very good (for the first day), and it's fine for the ground floor beach cafe for breakfast on the second and third days. The breakfast is a simple one, don't expect a large variety of choices but it is reasonable. This is a small 3-star/ 4star family resort, so don't demand for a 5-star grand atmosphere and services or else you should go to Rasa Sentosa. We enjoy the warmth and greenery of this small resort.
Great new option on sentosa
We had a one night stay here over Chinese New Year for a local break without the hassle of travelling. We booked the highest category of room the jacuzzi rooftop suite.
The room was relatively small in part due to the staircase up to the jacuzzi deck, however the room is comfortable and well designed. The private deck and the jacuzzi are fantastic, the sort of thing you only get normally in far more expensive hotels, which are out of our budget.
Its hard to beat sitting in a private jacuzzi watching the sun go down over the beach while sipping champagne from a complimentary half bottle left in the room.
The hotel is apart from the villas now finished and has fantastic landscaping with a waterfall cascading into a massive 80m pool.
On the downside breakfast is rather average.
Lack of restaurant really doesn't matter as there are plenty of beachfront bars and restuarants within a few minutes walk.
We're already planning to go back for a long weekend!
Mildew infested rooms
We stayed at the Siloso Beach Resort on January 17. While we had a wonderful vacation in Singapore and Malaysia, this last night was a horrible experience.
We knew that the hotel was still under constructions, which didn't bother us, as we were informed properly beforehand. Upon checking in, our first impressions were rather on the positive side. The layout and the pool of the resort looked very nicely incorporated into the green landscape. However, once we opened the door to the hotel room (which was a deluxe categrory on the 7th floor), we were shocked by the smell (moist and moldy) and the spots and stains on the walls. We fled the room immediately and complained at the reception. After some discussion (in which it became clear that we weren't by far the first customers to complain about this issue), the staff agreed to look for another room that doesn't have such problems. In total they showed us 5 other rooms on the same floor. All of them had the same problems. Since we didn't give up, they upgraded us to a suite, where only the bathroom was affected (the plaster even trickelt slowly down....).
Obviously, the concrete of the building is wet for whatever reason. This is a shame as the hotel really has quite some potential, but is already a run-down even before the construction is completed.
On the positive side: The reception staff, although powerless in regards to our complains, was very nice and really tried to help. The location (roof top) for breakfast was quite beautiful and the views were stunning.
Normally stay at the Sentosa Resort around the corner but thought I'd give this new pretender a try - well I wish I hadn't - still a construction site, no restaurant, breakfast on the roof is appalling and they they flat lie and say they have a cafe - complete exaggeration of the worst kind. Room was nice, good size, high speed net etc and pool a good size but all else was a disaster - asking what they do for what they currently provide is flat out outrageous - rarely am I so annoyed - avoid this place for at least a year - and then hope they change the staff or owners or both as they clearly are simply taking your money with all the wrong service intent. They should be ashamed.
Unacceptable service standard
my bf and i stayed at the resort on 5-6dec. everything went wrong from the get-go. we were given a room on the extreme right of the 2nd floor. when we were reaching the room, workers were laying carpets and walking around. the room itself smell of lacquer. we request for a change of room. a staff came by with the new room key and showed us to the room but no apologises were given. instead, he looked annoyed at being troubled.
we asked for wine glasses via the reception/housekeeping in at night. it was delivered 45 mins later, after 2 calls. the next day, we asked for a wine opener. it took an hr and 3 calls for them to deliver. each time we called, we were told it was "on the way". only after my bf asked for an explanation on the 3rd call, he was told that the staff was not available to deliver the item currently.
during breakfast, items were kept before the indicated breakfast time was over. we went over to the cereal counter and saw the cereals missing. inquired from staff and she replied that it was finished. that was 10am and breakfast was supposed to end at 1030am. upon further request from me, the waitress reluctantly went to the cabinet to retrieve the cereals, with every indication that she was unhappy.
overall, it was a horrible experience. to be fair, the resort has excellent view, location and a really nice pool. it's a shame that such potential has to be marred by terrible service provided by the staff. the service standard simply don't justify the price tag. we weren't even looking for 5 star treatment, just acceptable service. but the standard shown remains me of a 2 star budget hotel which siloso isn't. we rather pay more to stay at Rasa or The Sentosa. Even though their establishments are older but the service provided is of international standard.
We were originally booked into the budget hotel Robertson Quay in the centre of Singapore, but when they heard we were honeymooners, they upgraded us to a deluxe room at their sister resort, Siloso Beach Resort at Sentosa island.
This resort is still being built, but the staff and builders took great pains for the ongoing work not to disturb the guests. The beautiful waterfall lagoon pool was great fun, with hammocks and sun loungers for relaxing in. Most of the sea side rooms were finished, all with sea view, the beach entrance area was close to finishing. Most of the remaining work to be done seemed to be behind the pool area where they were finishing the villas off.
The rooms were spacious and modern, with flat screen t.v, panaromic view of the beach, modern bathroom with power shower and bath (deluxe room only). Coffee making facilities, A/C, hairdryer and safe also provided.
Breakfast was served buffet style on the garden roof overlooking the beach, and had a good selection of hot and cold food.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, though this resort being so new and in process, there were a few learning curves for all. For example their internet area advertised prints costing 10p, but we must have been the first to ask for this service, as they quickly realised they havent got the printer yet!
The location on Sentosa island was good for us, as we had been to Singapore before, it takes about 40 mins to orchard road, the reception had a driver take us to Harbourfront metro whenever we needed. Of a late evening the Sentosa buses still run from Harbourfront to the island.
Overall we loved our stay at this resort. As it was an upgrade and because it was still being built, we stayed at a bargain price. The rack rates, and certainly when it is finished, will definutley make this resort out of our price range, so we're glad we enjoyed it when we could!
